Mark Briers

I am Strategic Programme Director at the Alan Turing Institute. I previously worked at Roke Manor Research, QinetiQ and BAE Systems.

I hold an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at Imperial College London, where I teach an MSc module on scalable statistical methods using big data technology. I am secretary of the Emerging Applications Section at the Royal Statistical Society (RSS). I am also a member of RSS' Conference organising committee.

I completed my PhD within the Signal Processing Group at the University of Cambridge (Fitzwilliam College) supervised by Professor Arnaud Doucet, as part of his research group. I was extremely fortunate to hold an Industrial Fellowship Award from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.

My publications can be found here.
